We Got Awarded!
With great pride we'd like to announce that we at Slice of Life Pictures got awarded for the 'Best Wedding Photography' by Wedisson Awards for the month of October 2018.
Our award winning picture was a shot from Ridhish and Chandni's pre wedding photo shoot which took palce at the Panna Meena ka Kund in Jaipur.
In the picture particularly we explored aspects that were unlike the traditional pre wedding shots where intimacy between the couple is encouraged and closeness is captured or similarity is focused upon. Here we aimmed to instead bring out both the contrasts as well as the co-ordinating aspects that are shared between any real life couple.
The frame comprises of the geometric staircases of the stepwell along with the couple. It's worthy to note that although the criss cross flight of stairs are rather spaced out, they have a certainity of arrangement within them which compliments each individual flight as well as creates an artistic and architectural visual effect. Similarly the couple is standing apart - while Ridhish is on the higher flight of stairs, Chandni is on the lower flight. This positioning metaphors for Ridhish leading Chandni to a higher place also indicating marriage. While their outfit colours are contrasts that compliment each other, their attire is Indian in nature and hence coordinated. Besides this the body movements of the couple are coordinated and they're both turning and smiling towards the camera.
Overall this picture is a blend of the elements that maintain their individuality while also contributing to harmony in the frame.
